What’s New
- Agreement in principle reached: MU Health Care and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield have agreed to restore in‑network access for Anthem’s commercial and ACA marketplace members, effective retroactive to April 1, 2025.
- Who’s included: Applies to all Anthem commercial plans—both fully insured and self‑funded employer‑sponsored plans, as well as Affordable Care Act marketplace plans.
- Who’s still out: MU Health Care remains out of network with Anthem’s HealthLink network and with Anthem’s Medicare Advantage HMO/PPO plans.

- Contract documents are being drafted now, with full execution expected within the next 1–2 weeks.
- Both organizations are coordinating behind the scenes to ensure members see a seamless return to in‑network care.
- Action for patients
- Anthem commercial members can immediately schedule appointments with MU Health Care providers at muhealth.org/doctors.
- Medicare Advantage members should visit muhealth.org/Medicare to explore their options.
